About Me

I am a self-taught artist creating art works in my free time.  My art adventure has started very early in my life and continued along as I attended different drawing courses. The biggest impact on my journey was the "urban sketching" course during my studying time.

Since then, I primarily use watercolor to create urban sketches. Those are the scenes of the moment, a glimpse of an architecture detail, a building or a street. I enjoy going out and sketching on location, which is also one of the criteria defining a piece as an urban sketch. This way, I have painted a lot of scenes in Denmark and had a few private commissions.

Although urban sketching has been my main form of expression, I create using other mediums as well. I like using acrylic paints on canvas and I am experimenting with linoleum prints and digital art.

My main source of inspiration is the world around me. City views, nature and the biggest one: the Danish coast. The sea views are very powerful to me and have been the main theme of my most recent work.
